(This picture has nothing to do with this post, but it's from Grand Cayman, which is where I'd like to be right now!)
When I taught school, the kids were always a bit crazy this time of year... My normally well-behaved students would almost literally be bouncing in their seats as Spring was calling! I discovered this week that Spring Fever doesn't just hit middle schoolers. I taught my last week of Abby's preschool this week, and boy was I ready for the week to be over! Granted, 9 three-year-olds in the same room at the same time is a bit risky to begin with. But, as cute as they can be, I couldn't get more than a couple minutes of even partial focus. Yikes! The calmest moments were those while inhaling their snacks. (Would their mothers have cared if I had just fed them continuously for an hour and a half?!) Oh, well. They are little darlings and it has definitely been a rewarding experience overall. In a way, it was good for my last experience to go this way so that I can look more forward to my experiment in home school preschool with my girls next year.
So, do plumbers have spring fever, too? Our water heater stopped heating this morning, so my task today is to try to find a plumber willing to fix it on the Friday afternoon before Memorial Day weekend. Quite a job! I've already had one back out an hour before he was supposed to come. Choice #2 is supposed to be coming in a few minutes, so hopefully this will be the one (please, please! I can't take cold showers! James did it all of the time in the Dominican Republic, but I've never survived a 3rd world country and I don't want to try now!).
